Topmarkz carries out professional repair and remanufacturing of shock absorbers for adaptive air and adaptive coil suspension, with the main goal of preserving the original characteristics, electronic control, and driving behavior of the vehicle.
Topmarkz is the first company in Bulgaria to professionally specialize in the repair of electronically damping-controlled shock absorbers.
Modern adaptive shock absorbers are complex hydraulic and electronically controlled systems, designed to change their characteristics in real time based on road conditions, speed, and the selected driving mode. A quality repair of these units goes beyond fixing a leak or mechanical damage — it requires restoring the system’s original logic and operating parameters.
Types of Shock Absorbers and Systems
Topmarkz repairs shock absorbers for air and coil suspension of various designs, including monotube and twin-tube (dual-tube) systems.
We work with a wide range of original technologies and manufacturers, including:
- Magnetic Ride
- AirMatic
- Boge (ZF) EDC
- BMW EDC
- Bilstein DampTronic
- Bilstein DampTronic Select
- Bilstein ADS I & II
- Bilstein PSS
- Bilstein ESCV
- Bilstein DampMatic
- KYB DRC System
- KYB KYB Electronic Mechanical
- ZF SDC / SDC3
- ZF CDCI
- ZF CDCE
- ZF 2CDCE
- Monroe Dual Mode
- Monroe CVSA
- FOUR-C
- IVDC
- IDS CDC+
- NIVO
- Koni ECSA
- BWI Magneto-rheological
- ABC – Active Body Control
- MBC – Magic Body Control
and many other original systems, depending on the manufacturer and specific model.
Diagnostics and Technical Analysis
Every shock absorber goes through a detailed inspection, disassembly, and condition analysis of all components. We check:
- mechanical damage;
- the condition of the piston rod;
- guides and bushings;
- electronic valves and solenoids;
- seals;
- the cylinder's working surface;
- gas pressure;
- the hydraulic section;
- mounts and supporting elements.
Where necessary, individual assemblies are measured, adjusted and rebuilt according to the specifics of the particular shock absorber.
Precision Machining
Topmarkz’s workshop is equipped with universal lathes, milling machines, measuring instruments, and equipment for the hand-manufacturing of components needed to repair adaptive shock absorbers.
When required, we manufacture:
- piston rods;
- guides;
- spacer bushings;
- internal components;
- bushings / silent blocks;
- specific parts for rare and discontinued models.
This makes it possible to restore shock absorbers for which spare parts are no longer available or the original component has been discontinued.
Valve and Hydraulic System Adjustment
A key part of the repair is work on the mechanical and electronic valves that determine the shock absorber’s behavior.
Depending on the design and application, we perform:
- adjustment of electronically controlled valves;
- repair and calibration of mechanical valve blocks;
- restoration of hydraulic characteristics;
- selection of working fluids based on region and climate conditions.
Fluids with different properties are used for different markets and applications, suited to operation in cold or warm climate zones.
Serviceable Construction
Many original adaptive shock absorbers are factory-sealed and intended only to be replaced as a whole unit.
After repair at Topmarkz, shock absorbers are resealed using a technique that allows for future servicing and repeat repair, without compromising the strength and reliability of the unit.
Testing and Quality Control
After assembly, every shock absorber undergoes testing and control of its operating parameters, confirming the correct function of both the mechanical and electronic sections.
Special attention is paid to the most critical factor in adaptive suspension — the shock absorber’s ability to actively respond to commands from the electronic system and preserve the behavior intended by the manufacturer.
Warranty
Topmarkz offers a 1-year warranty with unlimited mileage on repaired electronically adjustable shock absorbers.
The Final Result
The customer receives a remanufactured original shock absorber that preserves the vehicle’s comfort, stability, and adaptive functions, at a significantly lower price than a new original component.
